One person can carry the package. Relatively easy to assemble. The instructions show a picture of a drill or powered screwdriver and a pencil. Neither is needed. It comes in a flat pack. It is of European design but made in China. It's got veneers over particle board. You'll need a small and medium-sized Phillips or cross screwdriver, along with a very short-handled Phillips screwdriver. This is due to some cramped spaces. The instructions are numbered. If I was making it again, I'd skip steps 7 & 8, then after step 14, do steps 7 & 8. This leads to better assembly with less risk of breaking the bench shelves or ends. After step 17, skip step 18, then do step 19. This is easier to do without the seat/bench in the way. Then lastly, do step 18, BUT! Take the two hinges apart FIRST, by loosening the screw in the SECOND drawing from the left. This separates the hinges. Then you can far more easily attach the top part of the hinge to the seat, and the separate bottom hinge to the bench back. Then you can attach the seat top to the bench and it's so much easier! Part R is a hex key/Phillips driver – it's easier to use your own screwdrivers, and no hex keys are needed. Part S is wood-grained stickers for hiding various holes. It's not needed unless you're very, very picky. It took me about 2–3 hours to put together. I'm quite happy with it. I'd buy it again.
