The Weather Man
Dave Spritz is about to take his best shot… at life.
Chicago weatherman David Spritz (Nicolas Cage) is living the life most of us dream of: he's a celebrity, makes a six-figure salary working two hours a day, and is on the short list for the meteorologist job on a national morning show. But his professional successes are over-shadowed by his personal failures.
He's divorced from his wife, his kids are slipping away from him and even his Pulitzer Prize-winning father (Michael Caine) won't take him seriously. Part American Beauty, part About Schmidt, The Weather Man takes a closer look at living a meaningful life in a fast-food world.

Critic Reviews:
- " It's a deeply honest and comic performance and seems filled with all the genuine humiliations that one imagines Cage himself has suffered in the past 10 years. " – Zadie Smith
- " Intended as director Gore Verbinski's palate cleanser before back-to-back “Pirates of the Caribbean” sequels, this is an apprehensive cringe comedy of male malaise. It's also Verbinski's best to date, a small-scale challenge he should attempt more often. " – Nick Rogers
- " There is, after the cloud cover burns off, a tantalizing sense of vitality and life. " – Donald Munro
