"Small in stature, big in attitude" are the words the author's husband uses most often to describe his wife. New York born and raised, Christa Blackman's affinity for art and creativity at a young age evolved into her professional career in Visual Communications. She received her Bachelor of Arts from Adelphi University (Garden City, New York) with a dual major in Graphic Design and English, and soon after found her niche in the agency environment as a full-time Art Director. There she welcomed a variety of work in terms of both client and project for Fortune 500 companies. Christa also received a Master of Health Science from Grand Valley State University (Grand Rapids, Michigan), with a heavy emphasis on usability in website design for healthcare clientele. Christa owns and operates Blackman Creative LLC, offering full-spectrum graphic design services including print and interactive. She currently resides in Grand Rapids, Michigan with her husband, Edward and daughter, Madeline. She has a passion for travel, is an avid foodie, and enjoys reading, writing, and yoga.
