I went into this movie with low expectations as critics rubbished it from the get-go.
However I personally think it is a decent sci-fi premise which proves entertaining. As a ‘jumper’ who discovers he can teleport anywhere following a traumatic childhood event, David's life is transformed and he selfishly utilises these abilities to live the good life. However he soon discovers he is not alone in his abilities, and is drawn into the war against the brutal but resourceful ‘paladins’, sworn to eliminate all jumpers.
Weta are involved with the special effects, and some of the locations are also impressive. I hope the planned sequels get made as there is definite potential here.
