Description

Just one piece from the Great Minds puzzle range! Will you be able to master this challenging wooden brainteaser?
Aim: Separate the pieces. Can you rebuild the egg of evolution?

Charles Darwin studied to be a clergyman but became more interested in natural history. In 1831 he set off in a naval ship (hms Beagle) to study geology, biology and natural history in South America (including the Galapagos Islands). Here he studied animal and plant life and devised his famous theory of natural selection – that all species evolve from other species. This theory is set out in his definitive work, ‘On The Origin of Species’ published in 1859. In 1871 he published a further work, ‘The Descent of Man and Selection in Relation to Sex’. This showed how humans evolved from apes.Although generally accepted now, his theories were very controversial at that time.

Not for children under 3yrs old. Recommended for ages 8 years+.
