Elizabethtown
Drew Baylor (Orlando Bloom), once a rising star at a leading athletic shoe company, has just been fired due to the overwhelming failure of his design for a sneaker and the $972 million loss his company suffered because of the fiasco. As if that wasn't bad enough, things get even worse: Drew receives a phone call informing him that his father has passed away – and now, he must get on a plane for Elizabethtown, Kentucky, to retrieve his father's remains.
Critic Reviews:
- " Crowe has a very talented cast at his disposal and, for the most part, uses them wisely. " – Micheal Compton
- " The performances are solid . . . but it's Kentucky that really steals the show. Crowe paints the eccentricity of the locals with an affectionate brush. " – Lisa Ann Cockrel
- " Crowe is still a master navigator of swampy territory, and any movie that can warm the heart and tickle the funny bone without selling its soul is to be cherished, warts and all. " – Simon Braund
