Description

"Beyond The Director's Chair" highlights 10 key leadership skills that will make an aspiring director a successful motivator on set, and throughout the production process. For you who aspires to be a director of any kind of content, whether it be film, television, web series, interactive media, or theatre, there are several lessons on management and communication that should be noted. The fact is people want to be treated with respect. Everyone wants to feel like they are appreciated and that they have contributed value. In the production world, the director is the leader and must behave and act as such so that those working with them are motivated to do the best job possible. This book explores the leadership skills that should be applied, or at least considered as a director. You will also find stories from directors that act as case studies for the specific skills outlined in the chapters. I'll leave you with this question: Given that you want to be remembered for one quality as a director, what would it be?
