No instructions inside the box but it's pretty simple (just untwist, like a giant rounded jar). It's easy to see when it needs refilling, it doesn't over fill itself, its easy for cats to use, dish is fairly wide which is great, comes with little feet for the bottom that stick on so it doesn't move across the floor if fur-baby is an aggressive drinker… I have no complaints. Would definitely buy again.
