Over the past couple of weeks we’ve been secretly testing out Mighty Ape’s very own last-mile delivery service – Jungle Express. It’s very early days but we’re excited to share some details with you and invite you to jump onboard as a driver if you’re looking for work in the lead-up to Christmas…

The short-term goal with Jungle Express is to ensure every Mighty Ape customer gets their order in time for Christmas. We know the recent courier delays have been painful for so many of you and we intend to use Jungle Express to deliver local parcels and relieve some pressure over Christmas. Longer-term we intend for Jungle Express to be an awesome same-day delivery service for customers who want delivery of their order as quickly as possible.

Jungle Express uses technology similar to what powers Uber, Lyft and others – think real-time tracking on phones, and SMS delivery notifications! So far around 300 customers have experienced the service and the feedback has been really positive.

Drivers wanted!

If you're interested in jumping onboard Jungle Express as a driver we'd love to hear from you! We're still working our way through the finer details, but we'll be providing the opportunity for drivers with their own standard sized car to deliver around 35–40 small sized Mighty Ape packages to customers living in our local area on the Hibiscus Coast and North Shore. If customers love the service as much as we think they will, this could quickly expand to other parts of Auckland and beyond before the end of the year. We’re looking for reliable drivers who can commit to a decent number of shifts, and previous experience driving for Uber or others would be a bonus!
