My favourite is Alejandro Anenabar's haunting 2001 film THE OTHERS! A masterful suspense-filled gothic horror that thrills before and after the "twist" is revealed. It's not about the "surprise" per se, but how the surprise is presented that is so chilling to the core. Nicole Kidman shines in this film!

Nightcrawler, Side Effects, and The Gift. Each of these movies were gripping from start to finish like every good thriller should be. Thrillers are definitely one of my favourite genres of film so I am very keen to see The Girl On The Train.
