Author Biography
An outdoors enthusiast, Valerie Monk thought she would lose easy access to the wide open spaces when she left her public relations job with the Northland Regional Council and moved to Auckland. The joy of discovering that there were 20 Regional Parks within two hours of the Auckland central business district inspired her to write this book.
