First things first, i played 6 hours straight, didn't even realize it!

I never felt bored, and each time i did something it was fulfilling and gave a good sense of satisfaction. RvR is delicious, There are little glitches, but so far only in towns that do not effect gameplay its-self. The world is HUGE, With quests pouring out of my ears. Playing alone is fun as well. I never got into WoW it bored the absolute hell out of me, but WAR is absolutely fantastic, if you havnt got it, ORDER IT NOW.

Also, the collectors edition is ridiculously huge and fantastic.

"Not too bad."

I played WoW and AoC prior to this. All I can say is, it has great PvP, terrible PvE but it's a really slow grind to rank 40. I got bored. I missed the PvE content offered by WoW.

If you're a pure PvP player, this is the game for you. If you love a mix of PvP/PvE, move on.

"Great game, needs some patching"
5 stars"

The 5 star rating is based on the potential score of Warhammer online, it takes a lot of the great staples from Wow and ads some fresh new concepts to the mix. Needs some patching, tweeking and balancing, but that will come with time, Darklands is the main server for AU and NZ players at the moment, but population is high (not always a bad thing when looking for people to help with public quests). It gets quite quiet when USA players are asleep so try find a guild with fellow down under players. If you plan to play the side of Order check out the ANZAC Guild, full of AU and NZ players, leaders name is Belras.

"A new twist on an old favourite"

If EA/Mythic sought to build a Warcraft killer, they've most certainly succeeded.

A lot of the game play mechanics will seem familiar for you if you're thinking about making the jump, just more polished.

I'm an Age of Conan import, and thoroughly impressed with WAR and most certainly will be continuing my subscription.

"Best MMO ever!"

This game is awesome, the beta was great, the detail is actually pretty good, if you want to play by yourself get a playstation, if you want to play a very social and awesome game with millions of people (800,000 in beta) then this is it, interactive, the battles are awesome, requires at least 2GB of ram and a half-decent graphics card im using an Nvidia 8600GT and the graphics are stunning, and combat is awesome, the sieges are a sigh to see. buy it its awesome.

"An AWESOME GAME!"
5 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

This game is extremely awesome, when I bought it, I thought it would be mediocre and I was a bit bored of WoW, but this game beats WoW in every way. When I started WoW it was very boring until about level 20.

But in WAR, you get into the PvP and fun quests straight away, within 30 minutes of installing I was being launched onto a mountain full of dwarfs by a catapult. Even more fun, I had to capture a drunken/unconscious dwarf and put him in a barrel, then knock the barrel off the side of the mountain (into a lake)

Overall this game is very fun and I'm excited to play it. It runs very well, the only problem I can see is (at the moment, as of patch 1.12) anti-aliasing isn't allowed by default, but an easy fix is available.

Right click on your desktop Click NVIDIA Control Panel Make sure its showing the advanced settings Under 3D settings, click Manage 3D settings. Go to program settings and look for Warhammer online, if it is not there, browse for it. Now there are heaps of options for you to play around with.

"Great Game"
5 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

This game is a LOT of fun, especially if you value pvp and skill over gear and easymode (yes that's WAR vs WoW wrapped up right there). The graphics are great, the pvp is awesome, especially with a guild on vent, and the pve is still as good as anything out there. Scenarios and ORvR (Open Realm vs Realm) keep the pvp elements going pretty much non stop and the PvE is there to fill in for any time you want a break from battling the enemy. WAR really brings out the one side vs another.

Be aware though this is a PvP game with PvE as a filler,if you don't have the skills for the “end game” which is PvP, maybe an easier game is for you.

"Let Down"
2 stars"

Found the game to be quite boring and the fighting is like watching paint dry. Im up to lvl 10 and find myself yawning after playing for more than an hour. Quests are boring and dull with no story line to get you excited, no cut scenes or fmv's and i personally think Guild Wars has more to offer than this game. Very dissapointed after all the hype surrounding it.

The collectors edition is just awesome…

"It's not that bad."

Honestly, I don't find the game that bad, but it depends on your preferences.

For hardcore World of Warcraft fans it may not be to your liking, but if you're bored of World of Warcraft it's pretty good. It's crafting system is lacking (in my opinion) but it's straight-forward enough that newbies can learn it fairly fast.

The main attraction to the game that you may have already heard of is the PvP area. It's absolutely brilliant, the “scenarios” (for WoW players they're basically battlegrounds) are pretty awesome and I like them.

The downsides to WAR is that scenario queues can be quite long-lasting, you can in a queue for a while. Another “downside” is the Public Quests, whilst these are awesome (should be implemented in other games too!) there's simply never enough people (for the low-level zones especially) for you to ever complete them. You can generally do the first sections of them easily (PQ's are split into “chapters”) but doing boss fights requires more than one person to do, and that extra hands can be quite scarce.

Overall it's a great game if you're into PvP or just bored if WoW or any other MMO in general. It costs the same as WoW to play (that is to say, it costs $15 US a month for a 30-day subscription).

"Awesome game!"
5 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

This game so far has topped all previous mmorpgs from experiece. I have tried wow, gw, tr to name a few.. All have their own strong points and aspects they concentrate on but war brings these together. It has the PVE and lore richness of wow, pvp action of gw and scenarios presented by tr. This all ties back with war and presents and good play usually hours on end.

It is not too gfx and cpu intensive if you dont turn up the options to max but there could be on a regular occasion 30+ characters on screen. With spell gfx enabled its not hard to lose ur character in the mist of it.

Thumbs up! 5/5!

"Great for first time MMORPGers!"

Believe it or not, I have never played MMORPGs before. I had no friends when I started playing and I had no idea what was going on. The open parties are very helpful in meeting other players and getting a feel for the game. Also, many people are willing to help out in PQs because of the lootbags that are shared based on contribution, you just have to say something. Oceanic servers are quite good because you have better responses and less skipping etc. The player quests are quite good and reasonably easy to understand. The graphics are awesome, even on my mid-end system (AMD 3500+, gf8600GT x 2 sli, 2GB Ran, and winxp). Running everything on 1440×900 at medium quality, no stuttering or anything. The special effects of spells and attacks are great but dont get to carried away looking at them cause the fighting is fast and you could die in the blink of an eye!! (its happened a few times with my bright wizard :-() PS the Scenarios and RVR are great for levelling up.

"Compare to WoW?"
4 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

Someones review here said that WoW's PvE was better… are you serious? slow grind to 40? im currently at rank 34 and i've racked up about 3 days of play time… and thats not even power leveling. The mini map displays the area in which certain quests are to be done so the need for a leveling guide is not even relevant.

Ive had a look at all the add-ons/mods that are out there and i've only found a few useful ones so far because they've really done a good job on this one.

Also now that im almost at end game ive talked to other members in my guild and it seems the dungeons in WAR arent 8+ hours long like WoW. You can still get good gear/items if you are a casual gamer. No longer do you have to be an unemployed game freak or little kid with ample free time to get decent stuff.

in my opinion from playing both games, WAR has taken what WoW has and improved on ALMOST every aspect.

A few things that need work are their economy/auction house. WoW's auction house/economy was amazing! this has a fair bit of improvement to make. WAR's mail system is also very slow, but you can thankfully get a mass mail mod to clear this up.

"Good spiritual successor to DAoC"

Following on in the proud legacy that their previous title, Dark Age Of Camelot left in the form of epic Realm Vs Realm combat, Warhammer Online doesn't dissapoint. You can jump straight into RvR right from the get-go. No waiting until you reach the level cap, no grinding to get the best armour so you can do anything but get killed over and over in impossible-to-organise-40-man-raids. You just jump straight in, have fun, and bash some skulls.

I really like how hybridised some of the classes are, as well. For example, the Empire's Warrior Priest is not your classic healer. Instead, he gains more Righteous Fury (What he spends to cast spells and use more powerful attacks) by leaping into combat, hammer swinging willy-nilly.

Overall, the game is good fun, and the Public Quests are a great idea for people who don't have the time or energy to devote hours on end to a single big story-centred dungeon crawl. They let you hop in, complete it within the space of 20 minutes, and then you're done. There are plenty to keep you going as well, so you won't get bored before going to the next chapter.

"WAR vs WOW"
5 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

most of the players i met on the WAR servers are WOW players, almost everyone of them said WAR is not as good as WOW, and one most common thing they said is the graphics, i play both WAR and WOW, WOW is NO WHERE near WAR, the only reason why players said graphics are weak because they are using WOW spec to run WAR. it doesnt work this way. WOW spec was top of the line WHEN it came out. same thing here, WAR is running top spec IF you want the see the REAL beauty of this game. i'm was running it with a P4 3GHz 4GB ram (WOW spec) before, now with Athlon 6400+ 4GB ram, 8800GTS 320mb x2 (SLi) with 1000W psu. (WAR spec). now everything change from just a game into art~ a true beauty.

"Must buy for MMORPG fans"
5 stars"

This has blown me away. My expectations were pretty high, and Warhammer Online has exceeded them. I am an old school MMORPG fan from way back having wasted away months of my life on Ultima Online, Dark Age of Camelot, WOW and more recently Lord of the Rings Online. Warhammer tops them all.

The Public Quests are brilliantly done. The RvR content so far is right up there with the best yet seen IMO. You can tell a lot of love has gone into this game.. I take my hat off to Mythic for producing a top quality MMORPG.
