With all the remakes around it was long overdue that Hollywood would finally put together a new version of the 1941 classic. This remake does not dissapoint,from the opening scene to Danny Elfmans thunderous score Universal Pictures has done wonders in bringing ‘The Wolfman’ to a new audience,the performances are strong and Anthony Hopkins does as always,bring brilliance to the screen. Yet through it all get ready for the legend that is Rick Baker turn man into monster,although there is CGI involved Bakers practical effects are a wonder to behold,in fact even he was unsure if he could top "An American Werewolf In London' to which he created ,but he does..just wait for the scene in the hospital anf you'll know what I mean when the scene arrives,its simply stunning. This movie has it all,for anyone who loves a great monster movie with a great story and stunning effects add this to your collection,Im sure it wont be long before Universal embarks on remaking another of its classic monster movies.
