The base plugs usb into the back of the ps5. Usb-c adapter plugs into the controller and stays plugged in. Red and blue lights on the base to display charge status of each controller. Looks really cool. Well worth the price.

Does the job really well. Frees up a usb spot.would recommend.
I found this model better than the original one, very easy to charge, keep the controls charging and works very well. Visual is cool, show the status by the leds in the front.
