Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe reviews

When I first heard about Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe I was very excited! As more and more information came out about watered down fatalities I became more of a skeptic, however come launch day I decided to throw all of my fears out the window and see what MK vs DC had to offer, AND I'm glad I did!

The story mode of this game is fantastic. You have the opportunity to play the story mode as seen through the eyes of either the DC heroes or the MK crew. As you play through the story you treated to a fantastically crafted story and excellent cut scenes that really make you feel like you are playing out a comic book story. Because of how this story plays out you also get to experience what it's like to play all of the characters.

Over the game is very enjoyable and if you have been sitting on the edge with this game I would recommend giving it a chance!

The game play is classic MK and the introduction of DC heroes and villains is a fresh element. A bit frustrating trying to get through the fatalities as you need to google them. The move lists in the game are otherwise thorough and easy to follow. There are multiple ways of playing which will give the game longevity and some of the trophies are going to be pretty hard to acquire if not impossible. Both MK and DC storylines blend together nicely and the animation is fantastic. Online play is insane. You can rechallenge the same fighter multiple times or move onto a new challenger at your liesure.

If you're a Mortal Kombat or DC Universe fan you will find this satisfying indeed.

Had been waiting ages for this game, to have two of my fav franchise's cha­racters in one game is fantastic – superman vs raiden, green lantern vs sub-zero. You couldn't wish for anything for. With interactive enviroments to punish you opponent with and two new modes to use during battle, including a freefall mode and close kombat, it worth every cent.

This Game is super cool and as always perfect service from Mighty ape. If you love REAL fighting games unlike Tekken this delivers a exciting and edge of your seat experiace. I recommend trying Mortal Kombat after you play this. Both are MUST HAVE GAMES.

Big fan of my fighting games and then you go and drop in all my fave comic heroes… How can it get any better than that---

“Two Worlds Collide.”

If you love mortal Kombat AND DC Universe characters, then you will be hooked into this game quite instantly.

Wouldn't you like to throw your opponent over the cliff, or maybe give him a few bruises for his trouble? This has an awesome setup where you can throw people off the surrounding arena as the opponent has the chance to take control of the fall.
Bruised and battered, your character will look when you “FINISH HIM.”

FLAWLESS VICTORY- to be gained. FATALITY- to be gained by either sides.

And to top it off, IT'S GORY!!

Excellent game – a must have!!

The game has all the old MK characters and a whole range of new heros which was cool. The fatalities/bru­talities range in difficulty and have that classy gore that are definitely a winner. I also liked the way your character starts looking like they've been beaten up mid fight with ripped costumes and cuts and scratches. The game may not be award winning or ground breaking but is throughly enjoyable and joins the likes of street fighter/mortal kombat/tekken in the fighting game world.

This Games Better Than I Thought- If Only Online Play Went On Without A Hitch, I'd Rate It Higher- Worth The Discounted Price – Thanks Mighty Ape : )

I'm not ashamed to admit I haven't put the old DC comic collection of my boyhood up for sale and the same goes for this game. I won't be fobbing this off on any auction site soon. It's like the chicken soup of fighting games for when I want to spend some time beating up or getting beaten up on my PS3. I really enjoyed the classic one player arcade mode, the two player versus mode and had a go at the online versus mode too. Be warned though, those people out there sure have practiced a lot.

Great selection of playable characters from both DC and Mortal Kombat and nice to see a good few females in there too for when I need to settle any issues with my better half or if I'm feeling in touch with my feminine side.

The game play is smooth and easy to get used to, all the move-lists are available in the “start” menu except fatalities of course. And there are a few really cool extras like smashing your opponent through walls or over the side of a building and pummeling them till they hit the floor.

I can't say anything bad about this game because there really hasn't been anything else on our PS3 since we bought it a couple of weeks ago.

This is definitely fun, though not as epic as the class marvel vs dc, vs capcom, etc. but i can see why they went this angle, it's great fun.

This game is an excellent combination and has an epic storyline that is very cool because you can play as either the DC universe or the Mortal Kombat teams. the storyline is very fun and the online play is very good, there is very little lag, so little it is amazing. The games “Arcade Mode” is also fun, especially when you play through it many times with different characters and find out their secret endings. This games only downside is that the graphics seem like they belong in a PS2 game. But this is very unnoticable, especially when your focusing on the fighting, which has so many combo's and moves it's not funny. you could spend hours just learning one characters special combo attacks.

overall a good game and i recommend it to anyone who enjoys the fighting style of game.

After serveral poor 3-D Mortal Kombat games this is deffinately a breath of fresh air. The game is easy to pick up and the move sets are of your classic Mortal kombat stature. Unlike the Original Mortal Kombat series where certain moves became repetitive there is enough variety between Characters to allow some serious strategy.

The story mode has quite a bit of depth and has a continuous flow between both DC and the MK sides. Combo mode is a bit of a downside being ridiculously hard to complete and you will probably find yourself giving up after a few minutes of angry button bashing.

2 player mode is excellent on and offline and while the Fatalities have been dumbed down a bit they still get the respective laughs they deserve.

Overall while it may not be greatest fighting game history it is certainly a step up from past MK games, plus Sub zero vs Batman, well thats just cool.

This has to be one of my favorite fighting games for the PS3. It's like having two games in one. You have all your old school favorite MK characters and then all the DC ones for you to use. The story mode is a bit …well lame as there is not much of a story, but fun to play. Online play is good.

Over all it's a 8/10 for me.

Nothing beats batman getting slaughtered by scorpions spear or Raiden taking on supermans seismic wave, this game is one of the best videogame mashup ever. This also has a very big online community awaiting your challenge and the netcoding for the game is pretty slick with minimal lag so pickup a copy of this game and dish out them fatalitys!

The game is excellent. It\'s a great fighting game with a story mode, which is basically cut scenes with fighting in between. Overall a fun party game to play with your friends in the room or online.

This game did look promising at first. But the game's controls aren't responsive enough. The story is a bit weird and Batman is actually stronger than the Mortal Kombat charaters..What??

For an expensive game that looked promising, I expected more characters not some 20 charcters.­.graphics are good and the game is fun for a bash up…
