The gameplay is beautiful. The nemesis system is genius. The shipping was fast. I would highly recommend this product.

"Endless Fun"
5 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

Hours on hours of endless fun with this game. The story gets you hooked, the combat gets you going, and with a love for LOTR, this game just makes it for me. Highly recommend to anyone who is on the whim of buying this to go ahead and get it because you will not regret it.

"Good game"
4 stars"

It has its crazy moments where things don't quite go right, but overall its fun and it has a big amount of gameplay. One thing I didn't like about the nemesis system compared to the first one, was the blood brother/iron will/betrayal situation. If you kill one of your captains blood brothers, they will betray you and potentially get iron will, which can go downhill from there. But eventually I found a way around it. If you see someone you want to recruit, check if they have a brother and keep checking until they get one, then recruit him too. That way you will never kill them by accident. It means you have to get some recruits you may not want, but it avoids the frustration of potentially losing your hard earned captains. The Blade of Galadriel Expansion is cool too. It has some good new moves and works well if you play it at the same time as the shadow wars.

"Dissapointing button masher"
2 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

Real shame. Has all the hallmarks of a good game on the face of it – skill progression, tactical army building, multiple quest lines and enough general longevity to get you passed the 40 hours gameplay mark without too much of a grind, although the follower missions get to be a bit that way after a while. The real clincher that made me throw it in the bin was the main quest finale button mashing fest. What is the point of all this army building if the final boss fight comes down to an arcade style button masher- Real shame – I was so disgusted I deleted the entire game right there. Had potential – blew it at the last hurdle. Don't get it – at least not for the main quest.

"Value Buy turned Most Played Game"
5 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

Bought this for $20 cause I was bored with Kingdom Hearts. Story line is compelling enough to not want to skip, combat is complex and evolves throughout the game, and overall gameplay is great! Army Side missions are enough to keep me playing for days. Would pay new retail prices for this game
