Kick-Ass reviews

I'm not normally fan of comic book movies, but Kick-Ass is the perfect title for this crazy film which completely warps the genre! It's funny and yet cool in a Kill Bill way, and refreshingly original. The first time I saw this movie I immediately decided it would be being added to my Blu-Ray collection. The script is tight, the action insane and the acting is superb. An instant classic!

A magic movie that broke the mould. This movie is Kick Ass and if you havent seen it then you really are missing out, if you don't own it then you are gonna be spending lots of money hiring it.

Not your average movie. And confirms why ordinary people haven't become superheroes :). This movie really kick's ass. A few funnies and some really good fight scenes especially with Hitgirl.

Awesome movie. The acting in some points is a bit weak. But Chloe Moretz (as Hit Girl) and Nicolas Cage (as Big Daddy) help to keep the movie interesting. The action is very over the top but still very entertaining. Well worth watching.

Although opinions differ as to whether this is a brutal, blood-spattered comedy, or not, it's still one of the best movies I've watched in recent years.

It is a story of a kid who tries to be a hero – a costumed hero – and what happens. There are real crime-fighters out there, but just as importantly there are real bad guys. The three elements intersect, with bone-crunching, gore-splattering results.

There is romance of a kind too: provided by the main character's crush on a girl who is way out of his league, and the path to her bed-chamber is a strange and funny one. Not convincing though, since she is still way out of his league even in his super-suit. But it all fits into the story so hats off to the writer.

Speaking of writers and hats I tip the hat to the original writer of the graphic novel, Millar with an a, and the studio that allowed his vision to come to life.

This is a dam good movie that showed hollywood that superhero's dont need super powers and thay can swear, curse, shoot, stab and cut people up! Director Mathew Vaughn is a genius he could not of picked a better cast for this movie but one steals the show Chloe Grace moretz, this is her break through perfomance she did all but one stunt herself Amazing! I have read the sequal and can not wait to see the next movie.

Great movie, very interesting story and good fight scenes. Also the soundtrack fits the movie perfectly!

Very funny, has some very good actors in it. One of my favourite comedies! A must for anyone with a sense of humour and who doesnt mind a bit of violence..

Never have I seen a movie done like this before… I want to explain but I don't want to spoil it… But… ITS THAT GOOD!

Hardcore action but these are not your regular heroes!

There's not many movies that have a 12 year old girl who's a superhero with a tongue quite like that of Hitgirl in Kick Ass. One of my favourite characters in a long time, she lights up the screen in this superhero/come­dy/rom-com. I really enjoyed the storyline that went along with the funny moments in this, enough of a storyline to be taken seriously as a hero movie. This movie gets a 5/5 from me, purely for being different, for pushing the boundaries with a bit of swearing and some pretty dece violence, and for holding my interest all the way through. Well-thought out characters (thanks mainly to being strongly based on the comic series by the same name), strong storylines and relationships and a believable note to the teenage lifestyle!!

Superb, original story with outstanding direction. Cast of newcomers (apart from Nicholas Cage who has his best role in years) do an outstanding job bringing this ridiculously entertaining script to life. Destined to become a cult classic.

If you're a fan of comic books, super heroes and good ol' fashioned ruthless fisticuffs, this movie is for you, friend and it's name is Kick-Ass, which, unsurprisingly, is exactly what it does… It kicks all kinds of ass. Full of excitement, laughs, cringes and Nicolas Cage, this movie is a dream realised and subsequently crafted into an experience that you won't want to miss a second of. Don't delay. Buy this movie. It will show you a whole new world of awesomeness I bet you didn't think possible… I would know. I haven't been able to wipe the grin off my face since the first of many times it graced my eyeballs and blew my mind…
