"More Elder Scrolls goodness"
4 stars"

OK, so it might be a while till the next ES game, but this is the next best thing. There's new heroes and new bad guys with new stories and agendas, but all written into the existing Elder Scrolls world you know and undoubtedly love (if you're anything like me).

This story (which is the first of a two-parter, I can barely wait for the next one) is set in Cyrodiil, the land featured in Oblivion. No doubt you've figured out that the hulking floating island on the cover has something to do with it, and you'd be right. It's a bizarre place, and author Greg Keyes helps bring it to life, along with loads of other Tamrielic locales. You'll be chuffed, trust me.

It's hard for me to rate this impartially because I'm such a slobbering fanboy, hence the 4-star rating, which allows for some fanatacism. However, to me the book was a 5-star read and if you love the games like I do, you'll probably adore this book too.

"Amazing Elder Scrolls Adventure"
5 stars"

Never has a book had such an affect on me. The oblivion game allows you to get completely sucked into the quests, and adventures, living as your own. With such an affect i though that the book would just be another quest, one that you couldn't fully experience in the game, as its words on paper. Rarely has there been a book though, that gets you completely lost in the world of its pages. The Infernal City, is more than just a quest, more than a novel. Like the game, it is a life experience.

"A great read for any TES fan"

If you love the elder scrolls and need something to keep you entertained whilst waiting for Skyrim you should pick this book up. It explains what happens after Oblivion and even explains somethings from Morrowind. The only bad thing was that it's a little short.

"keeps the same feel."

I haven't finished it yet. but while reading i thought that they definitely got the elderscrolls universe correct when describing it. It felt very similar to the oblivion game. anyone who enjoyed any of the elderscrolls games should enjoy this book.
