Dead Island PS3 reviews

It's much like the first game, revisiting similiar environments, game mechanics and quite a few weapon mods brought back. But a fair amount's been added which keeps it interesting, for 20 hrs of exploring though it did seem a tad too short, the suspicious ending surely is keeping me eager for the next (hopefully there is one) in the series.

But, if you loved the first, more of the same is a very good thing.

This game has an atmosphere of jungle and villages. This was a good game, especially fun in co-op, fun weapon upgrades, free roam, different zombies etc. But the game is quite short, i finished the campaign quite fast. Then its just repeating the campaign to level up. Fun but didn't last to long for me. But that's just my opinion. Plus i'm not bothered at all by that as it was only $10 when i purchased it. This game has gore, horror, action and survival all in one, The story can change with every action you make and the weapons are awesome

Dead island games are action packed and super fun. Lost many hours to this, can't wait for the next in the series. Top product and great price.

If you were a fan of the first game, this game will not disappoint. The game carries on after the first nicely, plays exactly the same. Really great game.

Still an amazing zombie killing game, Graphics are a little pixelated. But it is a last gen console so cant complain :)

If, like me, you loved Dead Island, then you should definitely buy this game. There isn't a great deal that is new, but there are a few new enemies and you can complete simple gathering side missions for your team-mates and for NPCs that upgrade their weapons. Other than that, it's basically the same great game – a jungle island setting, zombies galore, a huge game set on a number of huge maps, the same weapon repair, upgrade and modification system etc.

I loved the first game, its still one of my faves, but riptide has gone miles backwards in terms of playability and quality. Its so Buggy I would pass it off as a Beta version… It glitches and hickups so much I simply coule not play it. Very very dissapointed with this purchase. Im still hopeing Dead Island 2 on PS4 will restore my faith in an epic franchise.

Just started playing and seems to run in line with previous game but I loved that one and so far its keeping me off the streets. Kewl.

if you loved the first u will love this one it has tne same look and feel as dead island but the new character makes up for the lack of change the new zombie types make things interesting at times and coop really brings this game out noting feels as good as beating a thug with your claws and getting away with it

Always good to play a zombie game. Works well with my head set hearing the zombies come from all directions. Like the crafting of weapons, plenty of side missions. The added boss zombies are cool and zombie waves. Really like the music they got in the back ground. The added face book notifications for progress is great. Thanks mighty ape

If you loved dead island 1 your gonna love this too, very similar games, riptide just gets an extra character.

Not the best but if your a zombie fan your going to like it

It's such a great game, I love it because it has great gameplay, storyline, 4/5 stars because the only bad thing I find about it, is that when it gets to a very intense fight (lots of zombies, or attacks) it begins to lag. But apart from that, would definitely recommend it to anyone else into zombie games.

It's very much like the first dead island but carries on with the story and the gameplay is amazing
