"Not for linkin park fans"
1 stars"

If you have been a fan of linkin park. You will not like this. If you have never heard of linkin park before, and this is your first time hearing it. You probably wont like it either.

Its a big let down for fans who have been waiting and waiting for the release. It is in no way at all rock. it is something you would expect to hear on The Breeze radio station as 90% of the very short album is dark easy listening music.

Only 2 songs which go into the industrial music scene did it for me. The rest. I dont even remember to be honest.

1 star for me. Since thats the lowest it goes

"An absolute stunner!"
5 stars"

This is Linkin Park at their finest. Opinions were mixed about their previous album, Minutes to Midnight, but this is something unlike anything anybody has ever heard before. They have gone out on a limb, and made an album which has a really unique vibe to it. Buy it, because I have found myself listening to it from start to finish over and over again. My only gripe is that it isn't particularly big – all 15 tracks come in at just over 45 minutes long. That doesn't matter, quality over quantity any day – but it has left me wanting more!

This is the new Linkin Park. ‘A Thousand Suns’ is definitely a major change for what old-skool fans would be used to, but its the best way they could keep it fresh! This is probably my personal album of the year thus far.

"Stop and research!"
1 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

I have had this album on preorder for a while now, and was very excited being a long time Linkin Park fan. I never thought I would say this about any Linkin Park album, but I was very disappointed apart from a couple of songs. I am a huge lover of music and many styles and I'm not too sure what this would fit into. It doesn't sound like the Linkin Park that the fans know and love. Of the 15 songs 6 of them are short sound-pieces (not as well done as their previous sound-pieces either) Before you buy this album do some checking online and listen to some of the non-singles. The few singles that you hear on the radio etc are the decent songs on the album, unfortunately the rest are not up to standard. Decide for yourself once you have heard a few more of the songs.

Linkin Park are still one of my top bands, but I do regret buying the album. Like I said have a look at youtube etc and listen to some of the other songs before you buy. Personally I am now looking through the huge range of Mighty Ape options for something better.

"Linkin park at rock bottom"
1 stars"

After linkin parks last album (minutes to midnight) I was curious to see if the would continue to make garbage pop rock, well they are not making pop rock, now its garbage electro rock. This album is a far cry from their first 2 albums and they have not changed their sound for the better. I can not reccomend this album at all

"A step backwards"

Not as bad as some critics are calling it, but certainly not a masterpiece either. The six short sound tracks are boring and a big letdown, but the actual songs themselves aren't that bad. Unfortunately they are just not up to Linkin Park's usual standard. ‘Wretches and Kings’ is the best song by a long way.
