Justin Cronin to swing by Mighty Ape for a Live Chat!

By Che

To celebrate the release of The City of Mirrors we've invited bestselling author Justin Cronin to Mighty Ape for a live online chat!

The chat will take place live on the Mighty Ape Facebook page on Tuesday, 13th September, from 12pm until 12.30pm. Swing by our event page to RSVP.

We're looking for a couple of questions to get the ball rolling. We have two signed copies of The City of Mirrors book and tote-bag to giveaway before the chat takes place. Comment below with a question that you'd like to ask Justin for your chance to win! (Winners have been selected. Congratulations Janelle and Andy!)

Want to know where Justin draws inspiration from for his stories? Who his influences are? What he reads when he isn't writing? Or maybe you are a budding author looking for some advice?

Swing by our Justin Cronin Live Chat on September 13th where he will answer your questions about writing, post-apocalyptic vampires, and everything in between. We will have more prizes to giveaway during the chat!

Hi Mr Cronin! I've been a big fan of your series since the first book hit the shelves. I was entranced by how haunting yet hopeful the feeling of it all was. I would just like to know, how do you combat those days where no matter what you do, you can't find the inspiration to write? Those times the words on the page just never seem to sound the way you want them to? I'm almost a slave to my writers block and am desperate to find a way to move past it! Thank you!

Hi! Thank you so much for one of the most brilliant book series I've ever read, and an extra special thank you to your daughter challenging you to write a story about 'a girl who saves the world'. Reading that bought me to tears (again).
What were your inspirations behind the character Alicia?

    Hi there :)
I was wondering what your favourite book was when you were a kid, and what your favourite book is now. Has it changed?
Please say more than one if you like, I'm not sure I could choose just one book!
Thanks for writing a very awesome series by the way.

Hi, I love your books, I found them so refreshing, especially as a fresh take on the Vampire and post apocalyptic genres. Which authors do you love to read?

Hi Mr Cronin! A big fan of your series since the first book, such great reads, just a question. What inspired you to start writing this series?

hi, best series of books I have ever read - I wanted to 'un-remember' them after reading, so i could start again and get the same buzz!
    Okay so my questions:
I have heard talk of a movie or Tv series - has there been any progress on these?
Also, what about graphic novels possibly?
    thanks!

An amazing trilogy just absolutely loved it and looking forward to seeing you in Christchurch on Thursday! Have always wondered about the connection between Alicia Donadio and April Donadio?
