Description

The greatest disco-funk act of all–time live in concert! The only commercially released recording of a CHIC concert, this stunning performance by Nile Rogers and the band recorded live at the Budokan in Tokyo, Japan is a compelling record of the greatest disco-funk act of all–time. Featuring all of CHIC’s legendary disco anthems – “Le Freak”, “Dance, Dance, Dance” - the show also includes two Sister Sledge classics - “He's The Greatest Dancer” and “We Are Family” - written by Nile Rogers and bass player Bernard Edwards (both went on to become super producers for the likes of Dian Ross, David Bowie and INXS). Significantly, this was Edwards last ever performance with CHIC, who died only days later. This DVD follows from the hugely successful Live At The Budokan CD, and includes background commentary from Rogers about each track. It also features a special guest performance from Guns ‘n’ Roses guitarist Slash.
